Need For Inspiration

This is not about Rahul Dravid - the player, but Rahul Dravid - the coach. After his retirement I assumed he would be a commentator or get into cricket administration like Dada Sourav Ganguly, but he has surprised me by becoming a coach. And that too for under 19 team. It is a tribute to his work ethic that he has not taken the role of coach just for name sake, but has truly built the under 19 team from scratch and guided them to U-19 world cup. Rahul Dravid used to go to empty fields where under 19 players used to play, so as to pick the 30+ probables. Apart from giving technical inputs, he has imparted life lessons to these youngsters. Under 19 cricket is a completely different challenge as even parents tend to get involved. Rahul Dravid took the task of engaging with parents too.
